Annick Febrey Nominated as ATEST Coalition Co-Chair

by | Feb 15, 2022

HTI’s Director of Government and Corporate Relations Annick Febrey was nominated by the members of the Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking (ATEST) to serve as the next co-chair of the coalition. ATEST is a U.S.-based coalition of 15 anti-trafficking organizations that advocates for solutions to prevent and end all forms of human trafficking and forced labor around the world. The coalition promotes lasting solutions to prevent forced labor and sex trafficking, hold perpetrators accountable, ensure justice for victims, and empower survivors with tools for recovery.

“The ATEST coalition represents a broad perspective of the movement by bringing together organizations that work domestically, internationally, on sex trafficking and forced labor, and with adults and children,” Annick said. “ATEST uses this varied experience to educate policymakers, advocating for comprehensive, holistic approaches in all of our policy solutions.”

Annick joins Anita Teekah from Safe Horizon as co-chair starting February 15, 2022. As co-chairs, they will continue to lead ATEST’s advocacy for a robust reauthorization of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and increased resources for anti-trafficking programs in the United States and overseas. HTI has been an ATEST member since 2018. Annick previously served as a co-chair in 2019.
