Dorothy Douglas Taft serves as Executive Director of The Market Project, a nonprofit that creates and supports trauma-informed, market-based businesses with the goal of providing sustainable work for men and women who have experienced complex trauma, exploitation, and trafficking. Previously Dorothy worked in the United States Congress and the US Agency for International Development. She focused on U.S. and international policy to advance human rights protection, democratic governance, and civil society program development, as well as issues related to trauma healing. Dorothy and her husband James Taft live in Alexandria, Virginia.
