Emma Bykerk is currently a third-year law student at The University of Alabama School of Law. She has been passionate about combating human trafficking since she was a sophomore in high school. Emma completed her undergraduate degree at Moody Bible Institute, where she majored in Ministry to Victims of Sexual Exploitation. As part of her degree, Emma completed a six-month internship in Northern California, working with female survivors of sex trafficking. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, Emma moved to Iowa and worked at Wings of Refuge, a home for female survivors of sex trafficking. Emma hopes to use her law degree to help survivors of human trafficking find hope, justice, and freedom.
